Jason Aldean was born in Macon, Georgia, in 1977. He is a country singer and guitarist. At an early age he became interested in country music and made his first public appearance when he was fourteen years old. This was at a VFW Hall in Macon. He appeared on programs of talent contests and a year later he became an active member of the Nashville South house band.
Immediately after his graduation from high school he began to pursue his music career on a full-time basis. His father was his booking agent. He soon appeared in a number of places up and down the East seacost towns. An eight-song CD was made to sell at various shows. This was done in Nashville in 1996 when he was twenty-two years old. Michael Knox became aware of Jason Aldean and signed Aldean to a songwriting contract with Warner Chapell Publishing. This made it possible for Aldean to move to Nashville in 1998. He almost dropped out of his songwriting contract but then new doors were opened for him.
His "Wide Open" album with the label of Broken Bow was released in 2009 and sold more than a million copies. His "Relentless" album in 2007 with the label Broken Bow has also received excellent ratings. He has made three number one singles. These are "She's Country," "The Truth," and "Big Green Tractors." He has been on Pop Charts but not on Roots Charts. He continues to be famous for his contemporary country music.
